New Zealand has been eliminated from the T20 World Cup following a nine-wicket defeat to England in their final pool match, bringing down the curtain on the international careers of Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates and Lea Tahuhu.

England chased down New Zealand's total of 163 for six with 14 balls to spare, powered by an unbroken 128-run partnership between Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Sophia Dunkley.

Final performances

Captain Melie Kerr top-scored for New Zealand with 42 runs from 34 balls.

Devine scored 30 runs from 14 balls, including three sixes, in her final international appearance. Bates made 19 runs from 13 balls before being run out off the final ball of New Zealand's innings.

Wyatt-Hodge finished 89 not out from 53 balls to earn player of the match honours. Dunkley contributed 49 not out from 38 balls.

Record-breaking careers conclude

Bates retires as the most capped White Fern with 369 games and as the team's all-time leading run-scorer with 10,721 runs.

Devine played 316 white-ball matches over a 20-year career. Fast bowler Tahuhu represented New Zealand in 206 matches over 15 years.

The match marked the end of international careers for all three players.
