Wellington City Council has appointed dozens of business leaders to three advisory groups tasked with driving economic growth in the capital.

The panels cover technology and innovation, arts and hospitality, and property and infrastructure. Members will serve as volunteers meeting quarterly to recommend council initiatives.

Mayor Andrew Little said the groups "have been selected for their skills and experience, but also for their commitment to unlocking the capital's economic potential". Appointees include venture capital partner Mark Vivian, hospitality operator Tim Ward, and property developer Craig Stewart.
