New Zealand Rugby and Rugby Australia have agreed to three Anzac Day Bledisloe Cup tests in 2027, 2029 and 2031, all to be played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

The Queensland government is backing the fixtures, which will form part of three-match Bledisloe Cup series in those years. The remaining two tests in each series will be played later in the year as part of The Rugby Championship, with New Zealand hosting one and Australia the other.

The Bledisloe Cup will be a two-match series in 2028 and 2030 because of Nations Championship commitments.

NZ Rugby CEO Steve Lancaster said the matches are an opportunity for the unions to work in partnership and grow the game in a key market. "Brisbane has long been seen as a home away from home with a large New Zealand population living there and we see this as a huge opportunity to work in partnership with Rugby Australia to grow the game in a key market," he said.

Lancaster said the Anzac Day test would add a new element to Super Rugby Pacific, with early rounds gaining selection intrigue ahead of the match.

Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh said the first Anzac Day Bledisloe Cup test will create a new Trans-Tasman sporting tradition. The rugby rivalry between the two nations spans 123 years.

Super Rugby Pacific will announce details of its competition format from 2027 in the coming weeks.
