Riley Price has joined the Warriors on a two-year contract following a midseason transfer from Redcliffe.
The 25-year-old will spend the remainder of 2026 on a development contract before moving into the top 30 NRL squad for the 2027 season.
Price is the son of Steve Price, who joined the Warriors in 2005 and led the club as captain for five seasons. Riley was three years old when his family relocated to Auckland, where he attended Mount Albert Grammar School and represented the Mount Albert Lions in junior competition before his family returned to Australia when he was 15.
Warriors recruitment general manager Andrew McFadden welcomed the signing. "It's exciting for us having Riley back at the club he knows so well from his time living in Auckland when his father was here," McFadden said.
"He has terrific footballing pedigree through his father and will bring a lot to our squad with his professional attitude and work ethic. It's also a thrill seeing the next generation coming through with yet another son of one of our former players joining the club."
Price made his NRL debut with the North Queensland Cowboys in 2023 and has played three top-grade matches, including one appearance for Penrith in 2025. He has played 81 matches in the Queensland Cup and NSW Cup competitions.
Price becomes the fourth son of a former Warrior to play for the club this season.
