Eliza McCartney has claimed silver in the pole vault at the Diamond League meet in Paris, clearing 4.70 metres.
The former Olympic bronze medallist finished behind Swiss athlete Angelica Moser, who won with 4.77 metres. McCartney secured second place on a countback ahead of Australian Nina Kennedy.
Fellow New Zealanders Imogen Ayris and Olivia McTaggart also competed in Paris. Ayris placed seventh after clearing 4.60 metres on her third attempt, while McTaggart finished eighth after being unable to clear 4.60 metres.
The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow begin in less than 4 weeks. All three New Zealand pole vaulters have been selected for the Games.
McCartney cleared 4.81 metres earlier in the year, while Ayris achieved that career-best mark this month.
