One person has died and another was seriously injured in a workplace accident at Buckley Systems in Mt Wellington, Auckland. Emergency services were called to the electro-magnet manufacturing facility at around 1.45pm on Thursday.
Emergency response
Three ambulances and two rapid response units were sent to the Mt Wellington site. Hato Hone St John said it treated one patient in a serious condition at the scene and they were taken to Auckland Hospital.
Investigation underway
Buckley Systems said police and Worksafe have both been notified and a thorough investigation was underway. The company manufactures electro-magnets.
