A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Lincoln Street in Frankton, Hamilton, on Sunday morning.

Police were notified of the collision at approximately 9.50am. The pedestrian's condition following the incident was described as critical.
The collision occurred on Lincoln Street, which forms part of State Highway 1C in the Frankton area of Hamilton.
Road closure and disruption
Authorities closed Lincoln Street from the roundabout at Norton Road and Rifle Range Road through to Edgar Street. The closure affects a portion of State Highway 1C.
The road was expected to remain closed for several hours while the Serious Crash Unit carried out a scene examination.
Despite the closure, access to the refuse centre in the affected area remained available to the public.
