New Zealand will proceed with plans to prohibit children from accessing social media platforms, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has confirmed.
Luxon reaffirmed his government's commitment to the policy, saying "we're gonna die trying to do something".
The commitment follows Australia's implementation of world-first laws banning children from social media. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has conceded the laws have not yet been fully effective.
