The Auckland Harbour Bridge may close temporarily tomorrow as wind gusts of 85-95km/h are forecast for the area.
The New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi has warned drivers that all lanes could shut for short periods if gusts reach 90-95km/h between 1pm and 6pm on 26 June 2026. NZTA advised motorists to drive to the conditions and watch electronic message boards for speed restrictions or lane closures.
The warning comes after the North Island endured several days of wet and windy conditions.
